Marc Jacobs's Fall 2013 show at New York Fashion Week was
one of a kind visual production. The show was centered around a giant orb sun
that casts a yellow (sepia tinted) light. In the first half, the models emerged
under the giant orb that washed the entire room in spectacular sepia tinted
light, which was quite cinematic. To every one’s surprise, each models appeared
again, this time under full light, so that one could see the colour of each
look.
The pajama inspired
collection had an easy and understated chic feel to it. Silk pajama, hot-pants,
retro collared blouses, double –breasted coats, knee-length fur coats, metallic
shift dresses, sequined evening dresses, chunky knit wears and mermaid gowns
were some of the key pieces of this simple yet magically chic collection.
