Back in November 2012 it was announced that Oscar winning
actress Penélope Cruz will be the face of Spanish luxury designer house Loewe,
as she had signed a three year deal with the brand. Creative director of Loewe,
Stuart Vevers had said "Penélope's strong, sensual beauty has long been an
inspiration for me as a designer. She's been a constant reference for my ideal
of Spanish womanhood since I came to Loewe."
So here we have the highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2013 Ad
Campaign of the Spanish fashion house. True to her Spanish roots, Penélope
along with Brazilian model Caio Cesar were shot by master photographer Mert and
Marcus for Loewe’s Spring/Summer 2013 campaign.
Keeping the Spanish essence alive, the ad campaign was
inspired by by Gala Dalí, the wife and muse of prominent Spanish Surrealist
artist Salvador Dalí.
